Research Frontiers Licensee Pilkington Automotive Introduces Sundym Select Brand of SPD-Smart Automotive Glass
The 2011 Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland is the world’s epicenter of automotive industry excitement through its conclusion on March 13. On March 1, Daimler AG introduced the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK roadster to reporters, automotive industry executives, and auto enthusiasts. The SLK features Mercedes-Benz’ new panoramic glass roof with MAGIC SKY CONTROL made with SPD-SmartGlass technology developed by Research Frontiers Inc. (Nasdaq: REFR).

In a Geneva Auto Show Daimler news item describing the new Mercedes SLK dated March 1, Daimler indicates; “The market launch date for the SLK is 26 March 2011.” http://media.daimler.com
In addition, this week our licensee Pilkington Automotive introduced its brand of SPD-SmartGlass automotive glazing products known as Sundym Select. Pilkington and its parent company Nippon Sheet Glass (also a licensee of Research Frontiers) are now supplying Sundym Select for the Mercedes-Benz’ SLK MAGIC SKY CONTROL roof.
