Research Frontiers’ Presentation at Workshop Hosted by Penn State University Now Available Online

Dr. Gregory M. Sottile, Director of Market Development for Research Frontiers (Nasdaq: REFR), was one of four invited industry panelists at a workshop hosted by Pennsylvania State University September 12-13, 2007 in State College, Pennsylvania. Representatives from startups through large industrial firms were invited to attend the workshop, which was part of Penn State’s efforts toward the establishment of a National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center on Electromagnetic Metamaterials.
Electromagnetic metamaterials are considered a new class of materials whose structure allows them to manipulate and control electromagnetic radiation in unique ways. As an industry panelist on September 13, Dr. Sottile presented an overview of the smart glass industry and demonstrated patented SPD-Smart light-control technology.
