SPD-Smart Dimmable Aircraft Window Products In The News At The Dubai Aircraft Show
December 13, 2012 – The 2012 Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) exhibition concluded today at Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, and SPD-Smart electronically dimmable windows were in the news.
Research Frontiers (Nasdaq: REFR) licensee Vision Systems reported in a press release that they exhibited SPD-Smart Nuance and Noctis windows at MEBA. These dimmable windows offer instant and precise light-control at all levels which provide a complete solar protection solution that enhances passenger comfort and supports fuel efficiency.
Aviation International News (AIN) published an article about Vision Systems at MEBA, and commented on recent SPD-Smart Nuance and Noctis developments:
“Nuance windows are featured on the HondaJet. The company plans to have a factory that will produce both types of polarizing window shades–Nuance and Noctis–up and running in the U.S. next year.”
Flight Daily News also published an article about Vision Systems at MEBA.
Research Frontiers licensee InspecTech’s strategic partner Lou Martin and Associates (LMA) showcased its SPD-Smart E3 Shades at their MEBA booth. This shading system integrates LMA’s electromechanical pleated shade with InspecTech’s SPD-Smart iShade dimmable window. This product expands the options available to interior designers and owners of aircraft, and demonstrates the creative potential of SPD technology. LMA featured an SPD-Smart E3 shade designed specifically as a direct replacement for the current Boeing BBJ shade.
Aviation International News (AIN) published an article mentioning this integrated product.
