Joe Harary is President and CEO of Research Frontiers, where he has led the company’s growth into a global leader in smart glass technology. Joining in 1992 as VP and General Counsel, he became CEO in 2009. Under his leadership, the company’s intellectual property portfolio expanded to over 500 patents. A Columbia College and Columbia Law School graduate, Joe has a background in corporate law and economics, including experience at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He is a frequent speaker on smart glass, intellectual property, and corporate law, and serves on several charitable boards.
Michael LaPointe joined Research Frontiers in 2000 as Director of Marketing and became Vice President of Marketing in 2002 and Vice President of Aerospace Products in 2013. A Brown University graduate, he holds degrees in Organizational Behavior & Management and Psychology. Before Research Frontiers, he worked at IBM and founded several companies focused on new technologies. With deep expertise in technology licensing and commercialization, Michael began advising Research Frontiers on marketing strategy in 1984 and has since played a key role in expanding the company’s aerospace and architectural markets.
Darryl Daigle, a Research Frontiers shareholder since 1991, joined the Board of Directors in 2012. He is a principal owner of several successful family businesses in Louisiana, including SPD Equipment Sales Inc., serving the marine and oil and gas industries, and S&D Bait Company LLC, supporting the fishing industry. Darryl holds a business degree from Texas Tech University and was appointed to the Louisiana Seafood Promotion Board by Governor Murphy J. Foster, Jr. His business expertise and long-standing support have been valuable assets to Research Frontiers’ growth and governance.
Eyal Peso joined Research Frontiers’ Board of Directors in 2023. He is the co-founder, Chairman, and CEO of Gauzy Ltd., a leading smart glass and material science company, and a strategic partner and investor in Research Frontiers. With expertise in innovation, R&D, global operations, and finance, Eyal has successfully led Gauzy from startup to global growth. Prior to Gauzy, he was a business manager at Alvarion Technologies. Eyal holds a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and an MBA from Tel Aviv University. He brings deep industry experience and leadership to the Research Frontiers Board.
Alexander Kaganowicz has been a Research Frontiers shareholder since 1998 and joined the Board of Directors in 2013. A Doctor of Chemistry from the University of Rome, he has contributed to the testing and demonstration of SPD SmartGlass technology. Dr. Kaganowicz has extensive experience as a clinical chemist and medical supply entrepreneur, and for over 26 years, he has owned a successful automotive services business in Freeport, NY. He has also served as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the New York Institute of Technology and has authored multiple research publications and textbook contributions.
